Has anyone heard if the broadcast will be extended to Virgin Media BT Sport subscribers?
I had two thoughts...
1) Are Virgin ‘testing the water’ with the HLG HDR stream for the tennis in preparation for the (likely) more popular Champions League Final - Great 👍
2) There was an advert on the main menu saying the tennis would be HDR if I remember rightly. Does this mean because the Champions League Final hasn’t been advertised in HDR, it won’t be - Not so great 👎
Make of it what you will from a technical point of view.

The HDR is not being broadcast in 4K. BT Sport is streaming the Champions League final on 1 June in HD HDR, via the BT Sport app. BT Sport subscribers with a compatible mobile phone or tablet will be able to watch the match in HDR for free. It will also be possible to view the game in HD HDR on a TV screen, via the BT Sport app on Samsung Smart TV, Apple TV 4K, Xbox One S and X or Chromecast Ultra.
Virgin are showing the match in normal HD on Channel 100, and for those with a V6 box and compatable TV wanting to watch in standard 4K on Channels 205, 531,532 and 999
The stream will be HD and in HDR10 since alternative format HLG works less well on mobile, and mobile is BT Sport's primary target for HDR. Although it's technically possible to output in 4K, it will be in HD as the considerable extra data capacity required for 4K makes no sense for mobile devices as it's contrast rather than resolution which is needed.
