BBC1 sound playing up

Has anyone else been experiencing the sound keep dropping out fractionally every few seconds on BBC1 channel 101 over the last week?

Both boxes in the house doing the same thing.

It's not happening through the free view channels only via the virgin boxes.

Rebooted both boxes but no joy.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Stubill

There have been a few reports of this happening in the past week. For example <<< Here >>>

Have you tried one of the BBC regions on channels 861 to 864 in the meantime?

Thanks for the link. What I read sounds like exactly the same issue.

I'm watching 101 now and like yesterday there are no issues later in the day.

The issue seems to be at its peak around 6pm.

I'll try the channels you mentioned tomorrow and let you know

Hi @newapollo

851 is all clear. Wished I'd known of that channel earlier.

101 is still playing up.

What would be your advice?

Hi again @Stubill

Sorry to see this is still ongoing. I suggest either watch via iPlayer or one of the other channels in the 85* range for now.

When you have time  look at Check service status at the top of the page.  You can also a run a test on your equipment from there.

If nothing is showing  you could also try the  Service Status number  0800 561 0061.  This often gives details of more local issues down to postcode level.

It nothings showing in either of the above then it might be a good idea to phone this in as a fault as most of the problems now seem to be regarding BBC3 and BBC4 (and not BBC1) and they appear to have been resolved yesterday.

Ours playing up too, has been all week, first noticed it on just before Commonwealth Games opened. Switched over to freeview now to watch lionesses.

I'm having the same problem - glitchy sound on BBC1 channel 101 for the last week.

Really annoying.

Sort it out, Virgin Media!

Yep, also getting it. Small split second drop outs, glitch noises etc. Have been through the changing cables, reboot equipment merry-go-round, should of checked here first......

Hey @stehick and @arpwarden,

Welcome back to the community for both of you and thanks for taking the time to post.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues that you're having with BBC1, is this happening with one particular program or all on the channel?

Has this been resolved since you both last posted?

Regards,
