BBC I player unavailable on v6

My v6 box has been freezing on a regular basis and last night  after several reset and restarts and spending more then 5 hrs it has started working although I have lost all my stored shows.
However more annoying for the past two days it is not able to connect to BBC I Player Every time it says try in a few minutes

Re: BBC I player unavailable on v6

If your V6 has been restarting and has deleted all your recordings, it doesn't sound very well and could very well have a hard drive problem which merits replacement.

That said, looking at the iPlayer app in isolation - are you able to view non-BBC OnDemand programmes? That'd be a good test of the box's internet connection, on which all the streaming apps rely.

Re: BBC I player unavailable on v6

Thank you for your comments. I have been through the setting up process again and it took three goes at connecting to virgin services before it loaded up.

And I have finally managed to get BBC I player after signing on to BBC again.
Unfortunately  all the previous recorded shows have disappeared.

Definitely sounds like the hard drive is playing up on the v6
