Virgin 360 Box No Output using Wireless HDMI Transmitter/Receiver

Hello,

This is a long punt but im hoping someone might be able to help.

I have recently bought a wireless HDMI Transmitter/Receiver, to tidy up the wires behind the TV.

I've tested it on many devices (PS5, Laptop, etc) and all of which work, with 4k resolution, except for my Virgin TV 360 Box. For some particular reason, when its connected to the box, the video output is reduced to 640 x 480p. Does any one have any ideas how to fix it?

I have already tried changing the video output settings on the Virgin 360 Box to either automatic/1080p/720p but none of which has worked.

Thanks in advance

Hi @insidefive

Is the wireless HDMI Transmitter/Receiver HDCP2.2 compliant?

If not, or any of the other devices connected in the chain isn't HDCP2.2 compliant then this may be affecting the 360's resolution

Hi @newapollo,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, both transmitter and receiver support HDCP v1.4, v2.0, and v2.2.

Hi again @insidefive

Are all the cables HDCP2.2 compliant?

I would try connecting the 360 directly without using the wireless HDMI Transmitter/Receiver .

You might need to reboot the 360 to force a new handshake.

If the resolution is correct then it's either the transmitter/receiver, one of the HDMI cables or other equipment that's causing the resolution problems.
