V6 to 360 upgrade issues

Recently upgraded our V6 box to the 360 remote and are now really regretting it. Really slow start up, frequently kicks us out of apps so we have to sign in to iplayer or Netflix every time we want to watch something, catch up tv doesn't work and the icing on the cake; it's deleted all our recordings and planned recordings. Contacted customer services last week who said that it might be five days before it's resolved but it's only got worse since then. Even if they fix it, the interface feels really overcomplicated and clunky compared to the previous one. If I'd known what we were getting into, I absolutely would not have upgraded. This coupled with the price hike in April and I'm seriously considering cancelling. Anyone else had issues?

TV360 runs totally different software to the V6 and fundamentally is not TiVo. You don't have a V6 anymore, but have now converted to Horizon-based software and now have a TV360.

If you do a search of this forum, you will find many other posts reporting the sign-in issue on the VoD apps, I remain a V6 user so cannot be 100% sure but believe the power-saving options are often worth checking - these should be on "active start" or "quick start" to be effective.

Recordings being deleted are potentially a sign of hard-drive issues. "Catch Up TV doesn't work" - can you elaborate on that, with details of what happens, any error messages, etc?

The interface issues are not going to be resolved - your old V6 ran TiVo-sofware, your new TV360 runs Horizon software and they are totally different. When you requested (or accepted an invitation) to convert to TV360, that was a one-way change which cannot be reverted because you have changed your mind.

It's not an upgrade. It is a migration to the firmware & front-end servers used by Virgin's parent company Liberty Global, who own & operate Horizon across the rest of Europe. They are keen for Virgin to ditch TiVO as they see running two systems as an unnecessary expense. TiVO will also not run on an IPTV based distribution platform, which V360 & Stream will. So this will be the only option when Virgin drops it's traditional RF driven cable services in the next few years.

Had loads of issues, upgrading to V360 was a mistake. VM will not admit V360 has loads of problems and its impossible, no matter how many contacts and phone numbers they give on websites and community to sort this . Best contact is C.E.O. at Virgin   .  Go to the top dog, virgin media getting bad press for contact.
