I have now had my TV 360 for 3 months
I press the TV button once, and the TV switches on
I have to press the ON button between 20 and 30 times in order to get the Virgin TV Box on
What is wrong?

Hi mjkerr, thanks for your post and sorry to hear of your issues with not being able to turn the TV360 box on.
Has the helpful advice given by @newapollo and @BenMcr worked?
This also may sound a little obvious, but have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote too?
Regards

@newapollo wrote:You need to set One Power to ON to get the red power button to work.Go to Settings > Audio & Video > One Power - set it to ON
When new I used the ON option
I then swapped to the OFF option
There was no difference
I swapped back to ON, again no difference
I am pressing the TV button, only the TV switches on
I then press the Power button, there is no response after about 5 seconds
I press the Power button, there is no response
I have to repeat pressing the Power button, it can take about 20 attempts

There does not appear to be an issue with batteries
When I pick the remote up, it lights up
When I press the TV button, it lights up
When I press the power button, it lights up
Once the Virgin Box loads the remote responds perfectly well
Replaced the batteries, no change

What power saving setting is your 360 box on? The more efficient settings means it does take a while for the 360 box to wake up after you press the red power button

Hi @mjkerr,
Turn power saving from 'Active Start' to 'Fast Start' this should make the box wake up faster

Neither configuration works
The Home Cinema system becomes switched off, it needs to stay on at all times
I now remember why I had to stop using the One Power setting
One Power Off =>
The TV button operates the TV
The Power button takes about 20 attempts to turn the Virgin TV Box on
One Power On =>
The TV button operates the TV and Virgin TV Box
Press the TV button, the TV and Virgin TV Box turn on, but the Home Cinema system switches off, so there is no sound
Press the TV button, the TV and Virgin TV Box turn off, the Home Cinema system remains off
Press the Power button, the TV and Virgin TV Box turn on, but the Home Cinema system switches off, so there is no sound
Press the Power button, the TV and Virgin TV Box turn off, the Home Cinema system remains off

Sorry to repeat the question but what's your power saving setting on the 360 box? Not the One Power setting

Can you turn off HDMI control on your Home Cinema system or does this cause other problems.

Turn the powersaving option to fast start and this will allow the box to turn on faster. One Power will not affect startup speed

Standby Power consumption -> Fast Start
One Power -> Off
