TV 360 remote

mjkerr
On our wavelength

I have now had my TV 360 for 3 months

I press the TV button once, and the TV switches on

I have to press the ON button between 20 and 30 times in order to get the Virgin TV Box on

What is wrong?

My virgin box is on all the time (to record shows).  I press the white power-on button on the 360 remote - the TV switches on and I watch the programme.

Why are you switching your virgin box off?

Hi @mjkerr

The white TV power button on the left of the remote allows you to turn the TV on/off independently from the 360 set top box. Press once to turn off the TV and twice to turn it on.

The red set top box power button on the right of the 360 remote allows you to switch the 360 on and off.

If One Power is enabled (Settings > Audio & Video > One Power) you can turn on most TV's and connected devices at the same time as the 360 with the red power button, but only if they are compatible and connected using an HDMI lead.

I am not switching the Virgin TV 360 box off
I am only using the TV button
It turns off both the TV and Virgin TV 360 box

I have tried everything to stop this from happening

Hi @mjkerr,

I am very sorry to hear you're having some issues with your TV remote recently. The white power button on the top left will be to turn on the TV, and the red power button in the top right will be for the TV box.

Which one are you pressing?

Thanks,

You need to set One Power to ON  to get the red power button to work.

Go to Settings > Audio & Video > One Power  - set it to ON

Go to Settings > Audio & Video > One Power  - set it to ON

So to be clear here, The red power button should always turn the 360 box on and off no matter the One Power setting.

One Power is whether the red button will also turn on or off the TV (assuming the box has detected it)

The white power button will only turn the identified TV on and off no matter what the One Power setting is.
