Removal of old box default

Hi we've just been sent a new v box upgrade. We were told the old box would get the signal and act like the new box and that when we received the new box plug the new one in and we're good to go. Every thing on the new box is great except we can't record anything. We get a message that the old box is the default as that as its offline we can't record. Please can anyone tell us how to delete the old box from the system as we can't work it out. Thank you

Have you updated your contract to Ultimate Volt, if you have this includes multiroom which means you will have been sent a second box which is a mini box with no hard drive. The mini box is now trying to record on your other box with the hard drive.

When you received your new box you should have received 2 new remotes, one for your original V6 box which will be software updated to a 360 box, this one stays where it is as it's the master box with hard drive where all the recordings will be. The mini box will need a Virgin coax cable connection where ever it's going to be located, if you haven't got one you need to phone Virgin and ask for a manned installation. It also needs a connection to your hub this can be either ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. The main box will need to be set to fast start or active start for the mini box to set and stream recordings when it is in standby.

Main box and mini box.
