Set to record a series only new episode only but because it show multiple times on different channels records same show multiple times?

Are you asking if it will record across different channels or saying it has done.

If you set a series link on for example on BBC1 it will not record any of the the series if it gets shown on BBC2, all series links are channel specific, just use the Advanced options when setting up and select New Only.

My shows that I want recording seem to recorded numerous times of the same show after I already watched it and deleted.

I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with recordings. 

Just to clarify please, are you selecting 'new only' in the advance settings?

Could you also ensure suggestions is turned off there?
