No sound on startup

When switching the 360 box on it can take a good few minutes before the sound starts to come through. Is this normal? I've had virgin less than a week. I also have a mini 360 and it comes through right away.

Hi Steelie,

The quick answer is no, I am assuming you get the picture then the sound follows sometime later. Is there any sort of A/V equipment involved, you could swap the main box and mini box to see if the problem follows the box.

I get this for a few seconds but only because my sound system is deciding what the sound output is, so I consider this normal. Does the same on my nvidia shield.

Hi @Steelie,

Thank you for your post and welcome to our community forums. We're here to help.

I'm very sorry to hear you're having some sound issues with your 360 box. Have you ensured all connections to and from the box are tight and secure? If you have multiple boxes, are they all affected by the same issue?

Thanks,
