New boxes and I can record to both

Strange one, done 360 upgrade, already had 2 v6 boxes well package arrived Containing two boxes and remotes, thinking one would be the mini nope both boxes are full size both have harddrives and I can record to both, I can even select what box I want to record the programs onto when I say do a series link, no idea how that worked but it does, I have to send the old v6 boxes back but some reason they never sent out a mini, not complaining tho as have same storage as I had before the change

Maybe they are out of minis ??

If both boxes are Humax boxes then 2 Humax main boxes are not supposed to work together for some reason, I was never sure why because if they could adapt the Horizon software to run on 2 updated V6 boxes why not 2 Humax boxes. There will be a few people who would gladly swap out the mini box for another box with a hard drive to get back the 2GB of storage we used to have, me being one of them.

Question is does it let you see what is recorded on each box separately, or does it list everything together. I was hoping setting up profiles would segrigate the recordings but apparently it won't.

Yea you can goto saved, and click on where is says recorded, and another menu pops up saying

 Recorded shows everything recorded on both boxes, on this box shows juts on that box etc

Lucky you is all I can say.

If both boxes are Humax boxes running 4.28 software why can't the Arris V6 boxes running 4.28 show individual box recordings, from comments on here there is no way of doing this.

Where's BlueLou or BenMcr when you want them, I would like to go back to having 2 boxes with HDD please, and you can have the mini box back I will gladly swap it for another one with HDD.
