I have a Samsung smart TV.
I had Virgin Broadband and TV installed on Monday.
When I place my TV in standby mode it occasionally turns itself back on.
This did not happen before I switched to Virgin.
Any advice?

Do you have power-saving set on your VM box?
Which box do you have?.. Check here

It sounds like you have HDMI-CEC set up on your TV. This is a feature designed to allow users to command and control devices connected through HDMI by using only one remote control. For example, by using the remote control of a television set to control a sound bar, set-top box and or Blu-ray player
If that's the case and you turn that off on your TV this should stop your TV turning itself on.
It's also worth checking/changing the settings on your TV360 eg one power as per the screen shot below

I have been having the same problem of Samsung 7 series TV turning on usually in the middle of the night since upgrading to Virgin 360. The advice given here has stopped it happening by does anyone know why the Virgin box is commanding the TV on. I should be able to have HDMI-CEC turned on without this happening. It never happened before I upgraded the V6 box to 360.
