Mini Box 360 question

Hi. I am considering moving to virgin media from Sky. How do the additional mini boxes connect? Eg I have a sky mini box in my bedroom that connects via wifi to the main sky box. Does the virgin box work the same? Ím worried that it needs a cable between the mini box and the main box but it’s really unclear on the site. Thanks for reading and helping.

All  360 and mini boxes require a wired connection I'm afraid.

A cable would need to be run to each unit.
