Help with remote pairing

Hello team.
today I received the 360 upgrade (new remote, existing V6 box).
I'm tearing what’s left of my hair out. Try as I might, the remote will not function with my Creative Stage V2 soundbar, or my LG TV.

I’m connected thus:

v6 box to TV via HDMI 1

Creative soundbar into HDMI 2 (Arc)

I’ve tried every option I can think of, the box resolutely refuses to recognise TV and soundbar…the key tests don’t work, and I’ve tried all other variations of model numbers none of which are recognised. I’ve factory reset the box, reset the remote several times all to no avail. Am I connected properly? My TV is an LG 55 UR6000LJ about two years old. In TV settings I’ve made sure the right option is selected for audio out, nothing thus far has worked…

can anyone provide some guidance?

Hi @tomscotland

Please can you confirm the TV model. I can't find any match for  LG 55 UR6000LJ using google search.

If it's a NANO then try typing NANO as the model, if it's an OLED then try typing OLED as the model.

I have an older LGNANO796NE and was able to set it up by typing NANO and also by typing 796E, so double check your model number and also try typing in the last 4 characters.

Also try new batteries in the 360 remote as that often works, and make sure that the 360 is connected to the internet.

To troubleshoot your 360 remote control issues, ensure proper pairing, check HDMI settings, update firmware, verify device compatibility, and try different cables or devices.

You’re right, I mangled the model number.

Hi again tomscotland

No worries with the mangled model number, it happens very often.

I take it you've tried to pair the 360 remote by holding down the 'TV' button and '0' button together until the Standby button starts to flash.

Please try entering the following for the model number UR80, if that doesn't work try 06LJ, and if that fails then try 8000

You should have SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) enabled on your LGTV .

Since your LGTV has a Smart remote you should also be able to use that with the TV360 box, although it can be a PITA to set it up.

Go to Universal Control Settings and select the HDMI port that the 360 box is connected to and select Set Top Box as the Device type. Hopefully it will show Virgin and an area in brackets such as North East, South, Ireland etc and connect automatically.

If it doesn't work when selecting Virgin then try and set it up again, but instead of choosing Virgin use the magic remote to move the onscreen cursor and place it in the Search box then click OK and type in Ziggo and press Enter.  Some TV's need Ziggo Mediabox Next, but the three LG's I have all recognise Ziggo.  ( Ziggo is the name used in Holland by Liberty Global (VM's owners)

Thank you, some fantastic options to try there - would you believe I damaged the tv screen today whilst moving it? So I’ll be doing this all again tomorrow with a new Toshiba from Argos.
honestly, what a day I’ve had. Grrrr

Hi robinhood555

We may be able to help if you provide details as to which exact model TV and soundbar you have
