Tuning in

Had a power cut last night due to the storms. Now my box can’t record, pause, or play recordings. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Why are these boxes not fit for purpose and die when there is a power cut?!

Virgin Media: if you bother to look at these boards, get my issue sorted by then end of the week or I will be leaving. This is ridiculous that the boxes are so weak.

Never had that problem, it might be worth investing in a Surgh Protector to protect everything.

It could be 2 to 3 days before you get a response from the forum team so don't be to hasty.

Hi @R_Workman7 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us, sorry to hear a power cut may of affected the TV box, we do protect them against power surges but there can be some that may and will cause an affect not just on our equipment but also any power surge avoidance set up that you have in your home. Can we ask since your post have you been able to reach out to our team to get an engineer to take a look, or do you require further assistance?

Please let us know.
