Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

Hi when going through the deleting process after viewing a program sometimes the 360 deletes prog and then return an error message! ( Service currently Unavailable) then press Back and it clears and the prog was deleted!

Re: Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

Thanks for your post and for reaching out to the Community Forums, TonyM,

Is this message still appearing and does it appear while you still have the programme brought up or is this when you are within the listed programmes?

Cheers,

Corey C

Re: Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

Hi the message Comes Up in a Rectangular Box after Deleting a singular program from the Play Recordings menu! and the to get back to play Recordings menu Back Space or sometimes it Sticks there and you have to Press the Home Button and Go back into the Play Recordings Menu.

Re: Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

I had something similar recently. It happened when I was trying to view or delete a programme that had been recorded on my second 360 box (not the one I was viewing at the time). I solved it by changing my settings on both boxes to 'Fast Start' and the problem has never reoccurred.

Re: Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

Hi TonyM

Thank you for your reply.

We will get this issue raised with our dedicated 360 team to review but in the meantime, are you able to try the suggestion made by thrice and let us know how you get on?

Thanks

Re: Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

I had the CS3400 error recently and just turning the box off and on cleared it.

Re: Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

Thanks for popping back to us here TonyM.

As mentioned by Natalie, were you able to try the work around that thrice suggested?

Can you also let us know if you are trying to delete the recording via your main box or whether it's a second 360 mini box?

Thanks,

Kath_F

Re: Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

The image in the screenshot is identical to the one I was getting. Changing my settings on both boxes to 'Fast Start' seems to have fixed it permanently. I don't know if the fault persists with the 4.32 update I received overnight but I shall leave my settings as they are for now.

Re: Erroneous Error messages when deleting in playback menu

Thanks for confirming this thrice.

I am going to save this as a work around for now but as mentioned by Natalie we have sent this up to the team that deals with all things 360 for them to review this.

If you start having an issue with the new software, pop back and let us know.

Thanks,
