It appears record ‘from this episode onwards’ is the closest option to ‘record new’ on 360. I use this option via the advanced settings and it works well (recording new only).
Would it not make sense for Virgin to make this the default option when setting a series to record? It would save having to change the advanced options each time you set a recording.
Currently, the default option when setting a recording is set to ‘all from series x and onwards’.
