On TV I've done this:
Settings/Watching TV/External Inputs/TV Box Setup/TV Box Control Setup/Setup
Then I am asked to select the correct input that the TV 360 box is connected to so I select HDMI 1
It then searched for the box and asks me to select my provider so I select Virgin Media
I'm then presented with a picture in picture display on my TV that shows what channel my TV 360 is playing and and I'm asked to press the 'prog up' button on my Sony remote to make sure that the channel actually changes in the picture in picture view of my 360 box but the channel does not change and the Sony remote does not control the 360 box at all.
Has anyone successfully managed to control the 360 box using a Sony Bravia remote?

Hi,
Finally got mine connected to Virgin Media box. Feels like winning a million dollar lottery!
Like Silevershark mentioned, go to Settings > channels & inputs > external inputs > TV box setup > setup by model number > TV box > set up > then pick your HDMI input > then type in ziggo >
At this point it ask for a model number
Type - DCX960 (a random ziggo model number i found on google)
and fingures crossed you could change channels using Sony Remote!
Hope it works.
Thanks - Suresh

I'm not sure what the provider options are using a Sony Bravia remote, but if it's there try Ziggo Mediabox Next

The only Provider options are:
BT TV
SKY UK
TALKTALK
VIRGIN MEDIA
YOUVIEW
NO PROVIDER

I also tried the manual version of the setup process and when asked for the TV 360 box's model number I've tried all the numbers Incan find on the bottom of the actual TV 360 box and they all come back as not recognised.

The TV is a Sony Bravia KE65XH8196BU

Have you managed to pair the Sony Bravia remote in the 360 settings?
Settings > Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > Sony > and type in ke65

My 360 remote controls my TVs volume and power already so that's not an issue.

I'm afraid I can't really offer the usual help with your TV remote as I currently using an LG.
I had to go into the LG settings and turn on SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC).
Then Universal control settings - Select type ( Set top box) Select port (HDMI 1) the small picture appeared on screen - Select location
- Select set top box provider (Virgin North East) - the press the LG remote buttons to confirm it's paired.
Not every function is available using my LG remote but it controls volume, on/off
EDIT Just found your manual - does this page help? https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/haep1/v1/en/04-08-03.html

Thanks but those steps in the manual are what I've already been doing.

Hi again Ripp,
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Hopefully another Sony Bravia community member can shed some light if they've managed to get the remote operating their 360.
Double check you have the latest updates installed on your TV in case Sony have only just added support for the 360, or maybe email their support team?
