Hello,

Due to WarnerMedia’s plans to move to a subscription model for the CNN news channel, it will no longer be available on Virgin TV after 31 August. Customers can still watch and catch up on the latest news on major news channels such as BBC News, Sky News, Bloomberg and many others.

For more information on this channel closure, please click here.

Many thanks,

This is painful as one of the few reasons I have VM for TV is for CNN as it’s not on Freeview.

anyone have any tips on best ways to view CNN when it goes away?

Hi pdampier,

The app is currently available on the 360 - not sure if it will still be there from 1st September.

Apart from that you can pay £1.99 a month or £19.90 a year to watch CNN from it's website

If you have access to Rakuten TV app on your smart tv, no need to pay a subscription, you can find CNN HD in their free channels area. And also other channels, Euronews, Bloomberg, etc.

CNN have indicated that all their streaming access points will cost £1.99pm very soon.

How come its still available on Sky?
Is it because BM dont want to cough up the subscription?
What exactly are we paying VM for if they can't secure key channels?
