Battery message won’t go

On our wavelength

I have replaced the batteries in the 360 remote with brand new batteries. At first i get a message saying it has paired to the box, but then the “please replace the batteries in your remote control” message reappears and will not go. I have tried multiple new batteries and still get the same issue.

Any suggestions? Or do I need a new remote?

Have you tried rebooting the 360?

Thanks for the replies. I left the box on standby for the rest of the day and today it has been fine, no messages on the screen.
