360 remote won’t work with soundbar volume

My 360 box remote won’t control the volume on my Samsung soundbar? Soundbar connected to box directly via optical. Any ideas please.

Hi fithawk1 

You might try connecting the soundbar directly to the TV rather than the 360 ...

You should be able to pair your remote to the TV & it should then control the volume from the soundbar.

Make sure your sound output (on the TV) is set to optical out or similar.

Check mhow it's set up on the 360 under Settings > Audio & Video > Volume keys control - there are 2 options TV make and (TV make) amplifier
