landline problem

hi, I can receive calls on my landline but cant phone out- the line is dead, no dial tone. I thought it was my handset so I bought a new one but  same problem. The new handset says " check the line". The online virgin diagnostic tells me there is no fault on the the line. Any ideas please?

Welcome to the Community, I'm sorry for the problems with your telephone service at the moment.
