new phone over internet very quiet

Since virgin switched our landline to 'over internet' (plugged into router we can barely hear the person calling us. Tried rebooting router, no change. Anybody any ideas?

difficulty in reporting a no dialing tone landline fault

Unless the fault you are experiencing is exactly one of the three listed on web page you cannot report the fault.Then you cannot report that experience on the survey Email they send you so it digitally looks like you are happy with the outcome.
