I notice that there is often a delay of between 36 and 48 hours between a caller leaving a voicemail message and this being notified by the appearance of the interrupted dialling tone. Is this a general fault or something specific to my line, which I think would be unlikely? It rather defeats the point of having the VM voicemail service, so is there any way of turning it off so I can just use the normal answerphone on my handset? Two questions, I appreciate.
Latest example: Voicemail time stamped at 1701 26 November. No interrupted dial tone present when line used at 1440 27 November but heard when call made at 1458. Voicemail retrieved successfully. Not quite as bad as previous examples but still nearly 24 hours between message being left and notification. Hope this helps the promised investigation.
