They can do a line test for you whilst on the line too!
No it’s outside of your property there isn’t anything you can do to be honest.
Eventually they will move you over to the VoIP service which runs off your broadband instead and this will prevent these kind of faults from happening. Maybe you could ask them if it’s available in your area!
