I am thoroughly sick and tired of receiving calls to my mobile from 0131 538 8024, which transpires to be a VM marketing number. I have barred it as an incoming call but now I just receive 2 or 3 silent voicemails per day minimum. I cannot find a way in my online account to manage my marketing contact preferences so please can someone tell me the definitive way to stop these calls, before I make an official complaint to OFCOM. These are simply nuisance calls and will be treated as such.
I am on pay-as-you-go tariff with virgin. When overseas recently (April 2018), I had two unsolicited calls from this number and for which I have been charged £2.40. Virgin have refused to re-reimburse me even though the calls came from Virgin Media. Thankfully I did not reply to them or else I would have been hit with an even bigger bill. Is this a money-making scam for Virgin? I have now blocked this number and will change from Virgin when I have used up my present balance. Meantime I have blocked the number on my phone and registered my mobile with the telephone preference service. Let's make life more difficult for Virgin.
