Intermittent dialing tone

Hi,

I have had my line restored today after an engineer inadvertently unplugged my phone from the street.

I have an intermittent dialing tone before my phone actually dials a number. I understand this to mean that I have a voicemail. 

I called 1571 and set up voicemail again however there was no voicemail was waiting and no option to access saved messages.

I checked and I am in the yellow zone.

Any help would be great as I say I don’t use my phone to call out so I don’t know how long I have not been getting messages which is very frustrating.

Sorry about the landline voicemail issue, and I do wish to help you get this sorted.

 

Can you try this for me; Can you call your landline for me from another phone, wait for the voicemail facility to kick in. Leave a voicemail. Then from the landline dial the voicemail, see if it works.
