Well if true, that will be me gone :-)
But yesterday I ordered my 2 new Sims online, one SIM account has no IMEI assigned to it and it let me order a new SIM without inputting a IMEI.

The other account has a very old IMEI number attached to it, which Virgin will not update, the online ordering for new SIM would not accept a new IEMI - so it has been ordered with old one still attached to it :-(

I didn't need to add any IMEI numbers when ordering, would this be because like I mentioned earlier it's for the very same phone? I did check to make sure the IMEI number listed when ordering the new sim was the same as the one listed in the phones sim settings.

I managed to order new pay monthly sim card without using a imei number as the two listed phones were really long gone phone and i couldnt enter the number of my existing phone. So, my question is will the new sim work when i get it as it will be used in my current iphone 6s (my current 4month old VM sim works fine). Or will it be linked to either of my two old aged long gone phones that are shown on my account. There is no way you can update this info anyway when you get a new phone.

That info just says make sure you put the right SIM into the phone it is linked to, hopefully not by IMEI - or a lot of us are going to be in trouble :-)

One of the reasons that Virgin Media are doing is this is so they have more direct control over the services they can offer to Mobile customers.

So although you may not seen any immediate difference, it's laying the ground for the future.
