hi does anyone know if there is a way to port your number online through Virgin Media or does it have to be done over the phone?
You have to phone and request a Port Authorisation Code. They might try and offer you a better deal to stay but mostly they don't really bother. They text the code very quickly.
You have 30 days to use the code with your new provider. Using the code will cancel your existing contract and letting the code lapse will leave your existing contract active.
Don't separately cancel any contract or you will use the number.
