no incoming texts

I have just moved from android to Apple Iphone x.  I can send texts but not receive them.  Can anyone help please

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing some issues with using your mobile service. 

Are you having problems receiving messages from a particular number or from all numbers?

When was the SIM activating please? Also, do you have a strong signal?

Its the same sim from my other handset, so been active a long time.  I cannot receive from any number and yes I have a very strong signal

I recieved one intially  for mobile web, then nothing.  I can make and recieve calls

Can you try the SIM in a different device now for me to see if you can receive the texts after this?

I put it back in my old phone and it was fine, I received a text.  Then I put in back in the iphone and recieved one text.  However it has not recieved a second one from another number

Have you tried any other numbers besides from the one which doesn't work and the one what does work?
