blocking calls

i have tried turning off my phone and restart the phone number i want to block says it is blocked but the calls still come through. It is an 0800 had 5 calls tonight says they are virgin media. I keep trying to block the number but after a while get calls again

I'm really sorry to hear that the blocking of a number hasn't gone through on your handset.

Please could you check the blocked numbers lists on your phone to see if the number is being saved correctly.

Android

You can view your blocked numbers in the Phone app by tapping the three dots in the top corner, choosing 'Settings' and then 'Block numbers'. In this next screen you'll see 'Blocked numbers'.

i-phone

On your iPhone's home screen, tap the Settings menu to open it. Scroll down and tap "Phone." Under the "Call Silencing and Blocked Contacts" list, tap "Blocked Contacts" to see which contacts are listed.

Can I ask what device you currently have? Also are you able to block the number in the format of what number is calling?
