activate new Virgin Mobile SIM

Hello

I received a sim only contract with Virgin recently after leaving 02. I have spoken to Virgin about activating my new sim with my current phone. I was told it would be activated by midnight 5th July. My phone still isn’t activated and I can’t receive calls or texts from either SIM card since moving over my existing number with the PAC code.

When I try to set up my phone with the current Virgin sim I can’t get past the iPhone welcome screen as the sim still isn’t recognised. I’m still asked to contact my provider.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: activate new Virgin Mobile SIM

Hi Lokpulver,

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community.

Sorry to hear that you've been having some issues with your number since porting over.

Is this still an issue at the moment? Let me know, I'm keen to help.

Re: activate new Virgin Mobile SIM

Hi Emma

Yes this is a still a problem nothing has changed since. I’ve made a screenshot of the screen that keeps me from accessing my phone.

Thanks

Jack

Re: activate new Virgin Mobile SIM

Ah, I see.

If the phone was purchased from O2 originally it might be locked to them, you'd need to ask them for an unlocking code.

In the meantime the SIM should work in any unlocked or Virgin handset.
