When inserting replacement sim a pop up says iPhone not activated

I have received my new replacement sim in the post and I do not have my old sim either.
upon inserting this new replacement sim nothing happens I merely just get a pop up that says “iphone not activated” and as a subtext under said pop up it says “contact your provider if the issue continues to occur” so I’m hoping someone can help me get my new sim up and running.

many thanks - Lucy

p.s I can no longer sign into my old iCloud email it simply doesn’t work some sort of glitch on apples part. If you wish to contact me you must do so through my gmail.

Hi @Lucyhunter90,

Thanks for your post and welcome to our Forums 🙂

In most cases, the error you are receiving normally shows when your Replacement SIM hasn't been activated fully. Not to worry, we can definitely get this sorted for you.

I'm going to pop you a PM for some more details, please look out for it in the purple envelope in the top right of our forums.

Thanks,
