My mother, sister, two friends and I are all on different Virgin (limited data) SIM only packages and all of us are experiencing the same issue.

Add me to the list. Delayed notifications across multiple services only when connected to Virgin Mobile 4G.

Even with the phone active, the network activity isn't correct. As an example,  earlier I was trying to have a conversation with someone on Google Hangouts. Messages would only come through if I left the chat and rejoined it again. There should be a row of three dots to indicate the other person is typing but these never appear. On re-entering the chat again, immediately a new message appears. I tried on a different connection a few minutes later and not using Virgin 4G, there were the typing dots and messages came through instantly.

This is not related to anything on customer's devices so advising to turn off battery optimisation etc won't help. If the device was at fault it would surely be the same when connected to any network.

We're aware that some of our customers may be experiencing an issue with notifications whilst connected to mobile data. 

 

This issue is still being investigated by our team and any further updates will be posted on this thread.

You've had 6-8 months nearly to look in to this issue.

I've just logged a complaint on resolver as I've been told it's my phone where I've told them it the same issue when I put the SIM in a different phone. I have the issue with the following apps

WhatsApp

Ring door bell

Band 

Facebook

Ivms ( hikvision cctv)

Texaco connect ( intruder alarm)

If I Install my wife EE SIM card in my phone all the above work perfectly

+1 to this issue. I've gone through Google customer support and exhausted all options with them. I finally switched to a friends phone, who has had no issues (on another carrier), and I'm still having the same issues there. It's clearly a network problem.

Virgin, I'm getting tired of getting missed call notifications half an hour after the call.

The above ticket has not been touched at all there are no updates, there are no fix dates. They dont care !!

Looks like you have lost another customer !!

Just had a call back from the customer services about the complaint i raised on resolver.

Gave them the IT number thats in a previous reply P009299405, which has been open since april 2018, with no update no fix time.

They gave me two options 

1- Leave no penalty

2- 1 months free

 

Well its time to Good bye Virgin Mobile
