What is a "Tariff discount" exactly?

Hello all

I was looking to start a contract with Virgin Media. In the contract it gives me a price of £21 per month for the phone, £30 for the Freestyle contract and a £20 "Tariff Discount" bringing the total cost to £31 a month. My question is what is this tariff discount and, more importantly, will this £20 discount last for the duration of the contract? the phone certainly isn't worth £51 a month!

Re: What is a "Tariff discount" exactly?

Hi CharlieHJ97, thanks for getting in touch.

The tariff discount is just a reduction to the monthly cost - if it's for a limited time that will be specified on the contract agreement itself.

If there's no length of time for the discount mentioned then it would be for the duration of your contract.

Hope this helps.
