Virgin now connects to Vodafone network with no data

Hi,. I use a virgin SIM but today my phone will only connect to the Vodafone network.  I turned off auto selection of network in network settings (android) but all accessible Virgin networks were forbidden (and all Vodafone accessible).  Additionally I get a basic mobile only signal from voda (no data).

Have tried for ages to understand what is going on here but completely baffled.

Would be very grateful if anyone can help or advise.

We're sorry to hear of the SIM issue, could you please give us some more info on this so we can advise further?
Is this a new SIM you received from us recently or is it a VM SIM you've had for a long time?

Also, could you access your account online here and check if you have enough data left on? 
See if the data/texts are enabled on your device's network settings too?
