Virgin mobile internets most of the time is now slow, home or when out. Although coverage checker states it should be good indoor and outdoor.

Virgin Mobile SIMs either connect to the Vodafone radio network or the O2 radio network.
If you do a manual network search and see 'Virgin' and 'O2' you're on on the Vodafone radio network, If you see 'Virgin' and 'Vodafone' you're on the O2 radio network.
Any SIMs on the Vodafone radio network will shortly be moved over to the O2 radio network.

Also this isn’t sim or handset issue as my partner is experiencing same as me. I am leaning towards network and problem appears to have started since start of mentioning (out of EE) or when the migration process started. In my household both have same issue but two different handsets and now you also changed the sim, my family members who are still with virgin also stating same for them. I wish i knew about the network move and its associated impact as i wouldn’t have renewed my contract
