Unwanted virgin mobile marketing calls despite no permission

Hi,

This is the third time this year I have been called by virgin mobile's marketing team asking if I want to upgrade. For various reasons, I don't. I am always happy with my current device and hate the pressure they keep putting on me. Last time I was called, I was "assured" i was taken off the system and it would not happen again, but apparently not.

I looked at other people's questions on how to opt out, and it involves logging into my account, going  my profile -> my preferences. However, I apparently have never given them permission. I actually requested they do not contact me in 2013 and they aknowledge this (see photo).

Does anyone know why am i still getting marketing calls or how to stop them?

Have you now been into your online account and ensured that marketing is set to reflect you don't wish to be contacted?

Thank you for the reply.

Is this not reflected in the photo I uploaded? That is from my online account, and it states that I have selected that I do not want to recieve any marketing calls, emails, or sms messages from virgin media. Is this different from virgin mobile in any way?

There is also a marketing preference option for your mobile account.

 

We can take a look at that on here for you if you wish.

That screenshot is from the mobile side,  it says if you also have a Broadband account you can also log into that account and opt-out on that as well.

Hello David_Pn,

As teabag said, that IS my mobile account. I do not have a virgin media account, only a virgin mobile account. I even double checked then by logging into my mobile account and finding no permissions given.

You are welcome to remove permissions from your side and see how it goes. From my point of view, they should already be gone though.
