Unlock code to use a BT SIM card on a Virgin mobile

I have a pay as you go Virgin mobile which I requested a unlock code to enable me to use BT sim. The email I received states this is a simple thing to do and gives a number of digits a comma and then more digits , instructs these to be keyed in press ok and the phone is unlocked. However, the keyboard dies not allow commas. The help desk which frankly is nothing of the sort says that the numbers ahead of the comma are 1 unlock code and the numbers after the comma are a further unlock code to be used if the first set doesn't work.

I really find this hard to believe as this isn't explained in the email at all.

Any comments / confirmation would be much appreciated

Re: Unlock code to use a BT SIM card on a Virgin mobile

Hi Markhoy,

you have been told correctly. It is quite usual to be given a couple of sequences usually separated by commas.

If the first code does not unlock your device try inputting the second sequence.

Re: Unlock code to use a BT SIM card on a Virgin mobile

Hi Alex,

Could I ask one question. If the unlock fails with the first set of numbers should I turn the phone off and on again before attempting unlock with the second set of numbers?
