Received a SMS & email today from VM advising that me new SIM card would be with me soon. However I never ordered a replacement so am a little concerned how this replacement has been requested and by whom. Any ideas?

Very confusing message I agree.
Virgin are moving off Vodafone as a network supplier onto O2. The majority of SIM cards auto updated. Some, for a number of reasons did not and need replacing.
