Hope this hasn't created too much disappointment whilst on holiday.
Can you tell me if you've been able to connect to any other networks in the local area, if so, have you attempted to make any calls or send texts on that network to see if they can get through?
Can you also tell me if you're using a an older EE Hosted SIM card or is this a purple VM Controlled SIM card? If this is the latter, you would have been issued this within the last two years, if that helps jog your memory a little..
