Sorry we couldn't switch you over to an O2 plan

I got a letter saying my mobile service was supposed to switch over to O2.

Today I got an SMS saying

Sorry, we couldn't switch you over to an O2 plan. We'll try again next month and remind you a few days before. There's nothing you need to do for now, but on the day of the switch next month, please make sure your phone's turned on and fully charged. Thanks.

The letter never said anything about this requirement. What time exactly does my phone need to be turned on?

I need the switch to happen so I can use WiFi in the London Underground, so it's disappointing this requirement wasn't mentioned, and that it says I now need to wait another month.

Thanks

Hi mikelward,

Thanks for posting 😊

I'm afraid we're unable to force the migration, or advise a specific time/ date. You would need to keep the phone on in the meantime.

So I have to keep it on for a month straight and hope?

Why wouldn't I just cancel and sign up with someone who provides London Tube WiFi?

If you wish to cancel that is your choice mikelward, if you need to discuss this further with the team you can call them on 789/ 0345 600 0789.
