Removed sim card from another handset with Virgin 4G. inserted into Xperia - 4G picked up immediately.
Reinserted original sim card - no 4G.

Lovely lady from another part of the world answered. I have explained and she was insisting to trouble shoot according to her instructions, but after a few unproductive minutes agreed to send another sim card.
What do you mean by 'provisioned properly'? After testing, I have assumed that either sim is faulty or 4G service not enabled for this number, but Lady on the phone said they have no control and can only send a new simcard.
