Sim pin request has appeared

I transferred red PAYG sim card to new Huawei phone, topped up and used it successfully for call and text. I turned phone off and triedo use it again but am now being asked for a sim pin. Why has this suddenly appeared and how can I get this solved? I am  unable to use my phone so cannot text or phone Virgin for help.

Re: Sim pin request has appeared

You have SIM PIN Code turned on somewhere in your security settings

Try 1234 once to see if that is it

Re: Sim pin request has appeared

Hi Jo19,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your handset since you turned it off, and I can appreciate you're keen to get this working again.

Are you still getting the message asking for the SIM pin code or is it the PUK code?

Have you tried inputting 1234?

Thanks
