Sim not supported

I'm having trouble with my Sim card not working in an Iphone 5SE. I've reset the phone back to factory settings via my itunes account and set the phone up as new. Every time the sim is inserted, the message displays that the sim card is unsupported?? Do I need to get the phone unlocked by Virgin??

Re: Sim not supported

A 5SE will have almost certainly locked to the network of the SIM first inserted and it is that network who must request the unlock with Apple.

If you have changed SIM cards recently from the old Virgin SIM to the one issued after Dec last year then Virgin will need to get it unlocked for you.
