Sim Only Upgrade IMEI Not recognised

Hi, I've been on the SIM only basic deal for a number of years. I recently changed my phone to a Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 from my Huawei (not purchased from Virgin) which died of old age. I now wish to update my plan online, preferably 4G, but when I get to insert the IMEI number, I get a message saying IMEI not recognised and I can't get any further with my upgrade application. Any suggestions please?

Have you tried leaving the IMEI part blank, that's what I had to do about a year ago with my two SIM upgrades.

Thanks, I did think of doing that but I was concerned in case they remember that they sent me the old large SIM for my old Huawei phone and send me the same one for this one, whereas my new phone takes the smaller SIM. Or do they send both? Thanks for replying.

The new SIM's are the 3in1 type, you push out the middle to the size you need 🙂

There is a message on my account asking me to request a new SIM card pack because of the Network Upgrade. However, when I key in the IMEI number of my iPhone 4S the system says it is "not recognised". If I leave the IMEI blank, will VM still send out a new SIM pack and will it work if VM do not have the correct IMEI number? Many thanks
