My phone (Samsung GT-E1190) has taken to giving the message 'SIM refreshing' several times a day and loosing signal. The signal here - Norfolk - is poor, but I've never had this problem before. Is it the SIM, network or phone? Last time it happened there was a reported mast fault, but this time (today) I am told that all is working ok. I'm getting a bit tired of it!
Thanks

Hi petelobus,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.
I'm very sorry to hear about the issue with your handset and the message.
Can you confirm if you have been getting the issue today?
Do you by any chance have another handset you can try your SIM card in?

Martin - Thanks for prompt reply.
I have had the issue today, and have swapped the SIM into another handset. That did not say 'SIM refreshing' (but it is a very crude chinese handset), but had no service (or 'Emergency Only'). Now the first handset is working again!

Thank you for that information. I'm glad to hear that is working.
If this does happen again I would recommend also trying going to Settings _ Connections _ Mobile Networks _ Access Point Names.
Then go to the three dots at the top and choose Reset to Default.
That has previously fixed this issue for other customers.

Will try that if I get the trouble in the future.
Thanks for your help Martin
