Retrieve Text Messages & New Messages

Hi,

My phone broke and I lost all the text messages I had saved in there. I got a new phone but it took a while to get it. I want to retrieve the old text messages I had in my old phone and I also likely missed new text messages because I couldn't see them on my old phone. Is there anyway I can A) get back my old text messages and B) receive any new messages I might have gotten?

Unless you backed up your text messages to the likes of Google or iCloud there is no way of restoring them to the new phone.

Same goes for new messages as they expire within a few days if not saved

That's unfortunate. Oh well, it is what it is.

I did back it all up on my Google Drive and I got everything back except the text messages and I don't know why because the backup history says it backed up my messages. It restored all my apps and contacts but none of my text messages.
