Refreshing sim data

I recently came to Virgin Mobile with a sim only. My phone keeps coming up refreshing sim data numerous times a day. Its been nearly a month and still doing it. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah mine has been doing this for years, its everytime your signal drops out. we are in a blackspot so everytime we touch our phone this happens.

seems to be fixed by using wifi calling been good so far.

One of the virgin staff here will be able to turn wifi calling on for you when they drop by

I am new to wifi calling so not sure if im doing correctly or not so to speak but what seems to be working for me is,

When at home turn wifi calling on and turn mobile data off on my phone,

when going out turn mobile data back on and turn wifi calling off.

Its annoying trying to remember at the start but you get used to it and since i started ive only had the refreshing sim data once.

I have wifi calling on now, but i am still getting 'refreshing sim data' showing up numerous times.

Any ideas?

I'm speaking with some technical agents from the mobile team and they are asking if you're able to place the SIM in another device and see if this continues?

Hi,

Thanks for helping. I dont have another device to try. I think its happening more when i lose mobile signal at work now.

I never saw the refreshing sim message when i was on Three network and at work  but on Virgin it keeps appearing. I am a bit disappointed with the mobile experience on virgin so far. However the support is very good. ☹️
