Picture Messages / emoji

On our wavelength

Evening everyone.

just a quick question regarding pictures messages on the virgin network. I ported my number over from three mobile today, and had a search on the forums. Am I correct in saying all picture messages are still chargeable?, and it not like 4txt messages are the equivalent of a picture message and come out your allowance.

Tbh, as I use an iPhone as do most my contacts, my picture messages would usually be free with iMessage, but on occasion when I contact and android user, this would be chargeable?

Do charges also apply when using emoji

thank you

Hi ThomasP2,

Picture messages and emoji's cost 50p each on Virgin Mobile.

You can check your spending cap in Your Mobile Account and set it to £0 so they can't be sent.

I generally use facebook messenger to avoid the charges. Other people I know use whatsapp  to avoid the charges.

Don't three still charge for emoji's and pictures as well?

Dave
I don't work for Virgin Media.

Thanks Dave

yes, three  mobile still charge for these.

I usually use WhatsApp, but iMessage on occasion, but just wanted to be sure.

I set the spending cap to “0” just to be sure
